I recently watched this documentary and found it worthwhile. It chronicles the journey of Louis Kahn's bastard son as he visits his father's buildings, meets his father's friends, and hopes to understand his father's life. I was hoping for more an emphasis on Kahn's work, which I love, but you do get some sense of Kahn's wonderful use of light and shadow. Unfortunately, his lifestyle diminishes the joy of viewing spaces he created. It's heartbreaking to see his two mistresses still clinging to the idea that he was stuck in a bad marriage or just about to leave his wife. It's a little like watching some of the FLW documentaries, but this film has his son's perspective throughout, and you feel at the end of the movie that the son has forgiven him, so you should too.
