Diana Vreeland loved this picture of Maria Callas; I scanned it from her book of iconic moments and photographs, Allure.
It always reminds me of Oriana Fallaci for some reason. I think it's because she loathed the paparazzi too. Like her, Callas has such strength. You can see it in her face; she looks wild at first glace -- out of control -- but then you see that she is sure of herself and her emotions.
