Trim the Sails!

I stole this post from Thrillist.com. I'm not ashamed; these home furnishings from Dvelas are too clever to keep to myself:

Here is Dvelas' mission statement:

"DVELAS IS AN INITIATIVE INVOLVING THE RECOVERY OF USED SAILS FOR THEIR TRANSFORMATION, APPLIED TO THE DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF CONTEMPORARY FURNITURE. DVELAS IS FUELLED BY A PASSION FOR THE SEA AND NAVIGATION, AND THE DESIGNS ARE INSPIRED BY THE RIGGING TECHNIQUES OF SAILING BOATS.
THE HISTORY AND PERSONALITY OF EACH SAIL, THE SEAS THAT THEY HAVE PLOUGHED AND THE ADVENTURES THEY HAVE EXPERIENCED IN YOUR HANDS.
PURE PASSION. PURE POETRY."

While I like all the products, I absolutely love the idea of using for recycled halyards around the home; the halyards become both an organizational tool and a fetching installation.
Well done!
