Design Within Reach: furniture and home accessories for the modern set!

I discovered Design Within Reach about a month ago. It was a serendipity, really: I was discarding some of the millions of credit card applications I receive each year when I noticed an interesting catalog in the community waste basket. It looked clean, so I traded my applications for some inspiration. (I've adopted a nineteenth century attitude about germs. It pairs well with my addiction to hand sanitizer!)

The website has a wonderful selection of furniture and accessories, including many design classics from Eames, Le Corbusier, Bruer, and Mies Van Der Rohe. I'm especially interested in recliners and ottomans that look less like bodybuilders and more like vintage Aston Martins (complete with a leather interior):

In addition to the furniture and linens, the company also sells a small collection of witty home accessories. You know, expensive toys for adults. Here are some of my favorites:

This is one chair in the collection of miniatures. That's right: collection. I'm suddenly wishing I kept my childhood dollhouse.

The living room sale ends today, but if you visit the website, you can register to receive e-mails about future promotions. Enjoy!
