Rhoda, Valerie Harper's character on MTM and the spin-off Rhoda, was seventies chic with her boho layers of shawls, fringe coats, and headscarves.















Which reminds me of Lanvin's Pre-fall show (I lovelovelove the tassel necklace):

 I think polyester trumped lace in the 70's, and I haven't seen any matching pant/skirt and sweater sets that Rhoda wore on any of the runways as yet. While I like wearing bold colors, I much prefer the classic dark reds, leopard print, and neutrals used by Lanvin.


 I feel inspired. Let's all wear side-tie headscarves today.
