A couple months back, my coworkers Adam, Jonathan, and I assigned theme songs for some of our coworkers and also for ourselves.
For a long time, I've believed that everyone has a theme song. And in the perfect world, a person's theme song would play when he or she walked into a room, acted in a way that was particularly true to his or her character, or achieved a great personal victory. I've also determined that my own theme song is Tom Jone's "She's a Lady."
"Well, she's all you'd ever want, she's the kind they'd like to flaunt and take to dinner...." And etc. I like the words, but I love the energetic intro. It's definitely a celebration song! And it instills great confidence when played repeatedly during pre-date rituals. Bnaaanaaaah, bnaanaah....
Adam assigned and Jonathan agreed that the Pixies' "Where is My Mind" also suits me, because I tend to get lost in my thoughts (I also love the ocean, but I'm pretty sure Adam is most familiar with my all too frequent outburst, "Random fact time: Did you know....")
But I'm lost in thought more than I probably realize:
Look at the total chaos around me. And I'm without a clue!
What's your theme song?
