Last night, I watched Up Close and Personal for the second time.
Why watch it again? I'll always appreciate a success story, and especially enjoy films where an intelligent, driven character perseveres through a series of difficult circumstances -- all glossy, simplified plots reminiscent of the life of the much admired Lynn Tilton.
In every scene of Up Close and Personal, Pfeiffer and Redford each sport a tailored blazer, always camera-ready and oh-so-serious. While I usually prefer a softer look at the office -- cardigans and skirts in a great variety of colors and patterns, some meetings deserve my best in black. And when the same modern blazer can make a powerful statement at night? Priceless.
