There's No Knead

Thanks to my friend Lana, I've learned how to bake my own no-need-to-knead bread:

All you need is yeast, flour, salt, water, and a little time. And love.

Find the recipe here.

Recipes for no-knead bread abound, so I have only scratched the surface of creating affordable bread from scratch. In addition to the recipe above, I've also tried a few recipes on the King Arthur site, which has a section for no-knead recipes. It's worth visiting the site to see the many varieties of methods and supplemental ingredients. After viewing some of the possibilities, making bread becomes less of a cost-cutting measure and a science, and more of an enjoyable and relaxing form of art!

Happy baking.
