Appliqué Liberally, Three Times a Day

Two of my favorite pairs of shoes have walked their last steps:
I try to replace each pair before I discarding them, to find a similar style in a similar color. Sadly, for these two pairs, I have not been able to find a replacement. Where has all the appliqué gone?

I purchased both pairs a few years ago, when navy shoes had disappeared from store shelves and snakeskin heels were only a dream:
Made in Spain. Loved in Massachusetts.
I kept pretending the leather wasn't ripped off the heel, but these shoes really did start to look shabby. I love the simple, abstract floral design -- a sophisticated and subtle nod to the 80's. And the navy, that wonderful shade of blue? How I will miss you.

Mix master: Matte, suede, patent, and patterned leather!
I Gorilla-glued these shoes back together about four times. And then I admitted defeat. What a perfect heel, what a perfect toe! I will miss you, perfect work shoes, perfect weekend shoes, perfect whenever shoes.

Thanks for walking with me all those miles!
